Juicy, tender chicken thighs glazed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. This easy one-pan recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners and pairs well with rice or vegetables.
Chicken thighs
Honey
Soy sauce
Apple cider vinegar
Garlic cloves
Olive oil
Black pepper
Salt
Cornstarch
Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down for 3–4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to low. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over each piece. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping once halfway through. For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water and stir it in during the last 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot over rice or steamed vegetables.
